Turn Meet

Ricardo Updated by Ricardo

In this article, you'll learn how to use Turn.io’s Meet feature, enabling your team to conduct Telehealth calls on WhatsApp through Turn, starting from your own system.

Before you read this article, make sure you read the Get started with Telehealth, and the Agenda articles; as this builds on that functionality.

What is Turn Meet?

Turn Meet is a unique link for a call. If you've used Google Meet, you know exactly how it works: a unique link, such a https://whatsapp.turn.io/meet/ABC123, takes you to a call, like this:

When you schedule an appointment via Turn, we automatically generate a unique link for it, that you can then send to your system via an API call, and embed it; e.g. on a Calendar invite, or a button on the patient's profile.

How to use it?

When you use the Book Consult card, that card returns a unique link. You can access it by typing @ref_YourCardName.link.

Then, you can simply send it to your system via a simple API call, such as this:

Then, on your system, you simply need to surface it somewhere: maybe on the calendar invite description, or a button on the patient's profile. This is up to you to decide!

Note that the link can only be opened by the user for whom the call was created for. Any unauthorised access will be blocked.

How can doctors see the Agenda?

After any call ends, they can click on Return home to go to their Agenda:

However, you might also want to embed a link to the Agenda from your product. In this case the URL for it is:

https://whatsapp.turn.io/meet/number/<ID>

Whereas ID is your number's unique uuid. You can find it by going to the product, and copy the id from any page, after /number/: https://whatsapp.turn.io/app/number/<id>/inbox
