October 23: Improvements to Journeys - Everything you need to know

Jessica Updated by Jessica

A collection of improvements that make building smoother: toggle controls, delay functions, expressions in profile fields, data passing between journeys, friendlier card names, and smarter copy-paste. Small changes, big impact.

Focus mode: hide the interface, focus on conversations

Sometimes you just want to focus on what matters most: people's juorneys. That's why we've added the ability to hide the interface elements and give conversations the spotlight they deserve.

Delay function

Ever had messages arriving out of sequence, confusing your users? Or is Meta rate-limiting you because you were sending too many messages too fast? Wait function solves these headaches.

Expressions in update profile fields

Update profile field blocks now support dynamic expressions, allowing you to perform operations on data before saving it to profiles. Previously, any data transformation required custom code blocks, creating a barrier for non-technical team members who wanted to customize how information was processed and stored.

Parent/Child Context Passing

When building complex conversational experiences, it's common to break complex flows into smaller, reusable pieces. We're introducing a helpful new feature that makes this modular approach more practical: Parent/Child Context Passing.

 Friendlier card names

Now, whenever a new card is added or copied and pasted, instead of a complicated looking identifier, we automatically number the cards: 1, 2, 3… and so on.

 Improved copying and pasting

Quality of life improvement where copying and pasting no longer places items at the end of the journey, which was very cumbersome on longer journeys.
