18 Dec 2025: Collect data with Agents

Marije Updated by Marije

Not long ago, we released Agents — allowing you to build natural, Agentic AI-led conversations.

Today, we're adding one more critical capability: the ability to collect data directly from those conversations and automatically save it to user profiles.

When building a Journey and selecting an Agent, a new Collect Data section appears in the right-hand sidebar. Here, you specify exactly what information you want the Agent to gather—a phone number, preferred appointment time, medication list, pregnancy stage, or anything else relevant to your journey.

The LLM handles the complexity. It understands context, accepts multiple input formats, validates responses, and saves data directly to the appropriate profile fields—all while maintaining the natural flow of conversation.

What this unlocks
  • Turn rigid forms into real conversations. Patient intake forms, appointment bookings, health surveys, pregnancy registrations, and onboarding flows no longer feel like form-filling exercises. They feel like genuine dialogue, which means better completion rates and better data quality.
  • Accept data in any format users provide it. A patient says "I was born on the 15th of January, 1988" or "Jan 15 88"? The Agent understands both and saves it correctly to the birthdate field. Phone numbers with or without country codes. Medication names spelled differently. The system validates and normalizes without breaking the conversation.
  • Keep partial progress. If a patient starts a registration flow but leaves before finishing, you don't lose what you've collected. Data is saved field-by-field as the conversation progresses, so every piece of information shared is preserved—even if they pick it up later.

Try it in your next Journey and let us know what you build.
