Notifications

Never miss a message again! Turn.io can notify you when you have new messages when you're looking at something else in your computer.

Enabling notifications

By default, notifications are disabled. To enable them:

1. Head onto Settings > Account > Preferences
2. Toggle on the Enabled

3. Accept your browser's permission request
4. Configure when you want to be notified

5. Reload your page

And done! Now, anytime you're on a different tab in your browser, or looking at a different app, you'll see a system banner and hear a little sound (pop).

Notifications not working?

Depending on your browser, find your Site settings. In Chrome, you can find them by 1) clicking the settings button next to the URL, and 2) then clicking on Site settings.

Then, make sure that Notifications and Sound are both set to Allow:

1. Check your browser's settings

Depending on your browser, you might need to change how it delivers notifications. On Chrome, head over to Privacy and security > Site Settings > Notifications > How to show requests and turn that to Expand all requests.

2. Check your computer's settings

I see notifications, but I don't hear a sound

We do the best we can to play a sound when you have a new notification. However, browsers often decide to auto-block tabs from playing sounds. This is unfortunately out of our control.
