Help! The "Start Verification" button is greyed-out?

A common issue you may found whilst completing the Facebook for Business Verification process is that the "Start Verification" button is greyed-out. We help you troubleshoot this issue.

If you are trying to complete Business Verification and the Start Verification is greyed out, as shown below, you can follow the steps in this article to make it clickable.

Step 1: Go to the Apps section in your Facebook Business Manager account.

To make the "Start verification" button clickable, you have to connect a Facebook app ID to your business manager account. To do this the first thing is to go to Facebook for developers.

Step 2: Now click on the "My Apps" dropdown, and select your app if you already have one. If you don't have an app click "Create App".

Step 3: Select "Manage Business Integrations".

Step 4: Create an App ID by adding your details.

Step 5: Copy the "App ID" from the dashboard.

Step 6: Go back to Business manager and navigate to "Apps" in the left side panel.

Step 7: Select "Connect an App ID”.

Step 8: Paste the "App ID" that you've copied from the dashboard in the input box and save.

Step 9: Finally, go back to "Business Settings" and the button will be clickable and no longer greyed out.
