We're almost there! Just a few simple steps left and you'll be ready to start designing your chat service.

Use the table of contents on the right to easily navigate to a specific section. Here's what we'll be covering:

  1. Accept the On-Behalf-Of (OBO) request
  2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
  3. Log in to with a Google-backed account
  4. Design your service

1. Accept the OBO request

While we set you up on the WhatsApp Business API, you’ll have to accept an On-Behalf-Of (OBO) request in your Facebook Business Manager account.

The OBO feature in Business Settings allows (your WhatsApp business service provider) to specify which accounts we use on behalf of other businesses. This allows us to access the appropriate product features to send WhatsApp messages on your behalf. In other words, needs this permission to give you access to the WhatsApp Business API.

Here’s how to accept an OBO request:

  • Once you’ve signed in to Facebook Business Manager, click on the blue “Business Settings” button on the right-hand side.
  • Scroll down in the menu on the left-hand side until you see “Requests”.
  • Click on “Received” and “Approve the Request from”.

2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)

Your new WhatsApp number will also need to be verified through a one-time-pin sent via a call or SMS. If you provided your own number, will set up a time with you to receive the pin and verify the number. If we supplied the number, this step will happen automatically.

Once all these steps have been successfully completed, Turn will set up your WhatsApp number in your account.

3. Log in to with a Google-backed account

Congratulations! You have completed the WhatsApp application process! (#yay)
